Holiday Sketch Challenge

Hello and happy Monday. Do you have some time to make a card this week? Since most of the challenge blogs have a break, i thought show you a sketch you could use if you feel inspired by it. Please take a look how Kristine, Bea and Carole all took a different spin on this sketch. If you like, please post your card with link to your site here so we can take a look at it. Lets have fun!!!

I would like to give you some infos what i used on my card. The pictures does not really show how pretty this vine paper from K&Company sparkles. There are also tiny corner embellishments made with crystal stickers on the paper with the font. On the envelope is the vine (both are vines are embellished with green Stickles) and i airbrushed the edges with E31 so it would not be so super white and have more an aged look. The sentiment can still be picked - I think this card works for many occasions. The back of the card is also decorated with some of the Designer Paper.
Stamps: Magnolia new "Jingle Jangle" Collection and to decorate the inside and envelope i used the vine stamp which you can find in the Shabby Chic Collection on the vine is green Stickles
DP/CS: K&Company, Stampin up
Embellishments: Stampin up, Martha Stewart (fond punch), Laces, Making Memories
Thank you Bea, Carole, Jaquelin and Kristine for helping me to make sample cards using this sketch so short notice!! You guys rock!!! xxx

Love, Liebe and Amore

Good Morning everybody. How is your week so far? Iam pretty much all done with my Christmas presents - still have to wrap them :-) Definitely getting there lol. Today's card shows one of the super adorable Tilda images you can purchase in the new Valentines Collection. Oh she cute and Tilda "works" all year round. :-)
This week i wanted to show you several different styles of cards/projects. Monday was the 6x6 style you see often on my blog, than the pillow box with tag yesterday today a long card and tomooooorowww... well come and see.. it is a style card that kind of has been forgotten.
Stamps: Magnolia
Embellishments: Ribbons received trough Magnolia the pink ribbon features printed Love words in several languages. The rose embroidered ribbon was received a long time ago and it works nicely with the colors of the Bo Bunny DP, Button and rhinestone brad is from Making Memories.
In centers of paper flowers is red stickles.

Oh and if you want something sweet without the calories :-) click over to Torills blog she has some fabulous candy to give away.

Be Mine

Hello and happy start into the new week! The card for today uses the very new Magnolia stamps :-) iam sure you know those already, cause you also read the Magnolia Inspiration site or visit the other DTM blogs. I was so fast coloring cute Tilda in and the newspaper stamp that i totally forgot to stamp first the hearts with the stamp that goes with the newspaper. I was kind of scared to ruin the colored and airbrushed image so i was happy that Carole let me use the "Confetti Hearts" punch from Martha Stewart. (Thank you for helping me out) You know how this ... mistakes ALWAYS happen at the very end :-) and you have to start over again.I did get some paper and embellishments from Magnolia to work with, but my kids grabbed the paper off the table and they are now kind of crumbely :-) i was able to save the plain Bazzill CS and use it for the mats on this card. The DP used is from BoBunny and Stampin up. The pompon ribbon is sewed directly to the card. Stamps can be purchased in Sweden . Sentiment is from Stampin up's "Fancy Flexible Phrases" and iam so excited.. as far as i can tell all of the sentiments fit in the sign Tilda is holding. I stamped "Be Mine" with Going Grey - i think i should have used black, to make it stand out more.

Lil' Elfs

Hi and happy Friday :-) I told you :-) looove the Elfs :-) Heidi came up with this great sketch for the Friday Sketcher blog and i was like whoohoo THAT works with my new stamps. Iam sure you recognize not only the Elf from the new Magnolia line but also take a look at that fabulous bold tree with the swirls!!! I checked the Magnolia Inspiration site to see how Pauline imagined her design and from there my card developed. The stamping explanes itself, to the Elf and on the chocolate chip, distressed mats i added some sparkle with one of my fabulous glitter pens. I liked that look better than the more visible Stickles. Most of the papers and other things on this card are from my stash.. but the flowers and the elegant brads are by Magnolia sent.
other: Stampin up "French Script" Background stamp and Amuse sentiment
DP: DCWV Farytale DP and chocolate chip CS
Sorry, i have not had time yet to take the pics how to make envelope and i think i will not be able to post it today either cause iam baby sitting a whole bunch of little ones today :-)

Santa Gift Set

Hi there.. oh my gosh.. it took me just right now 30 minutes to edit those 3 pictures. We got a new printer on Thanksgiving Sale and since than my computer is running slow and i get constantly error messages. Aaaahhh.. where is my hubby ????? :-)
Gotta fix that :-)
This is the gift set i have made for my dear friend Christina C. Christina and i met on a yahoo group about half year back and we chatted a bit and we found out that we both come from the same small area.. just about 15 km apart. It was so funny.. than later we have met again at the Magnolia-lioucs yahoo group and i can tell you - Christina is one sweet and kind lady and iam happy i have met her. So the can is filled with some presents to open for her and Miska :-) (nooo i don't forget your baby Christina :-) and a matching card. I love the big Magnolia Santa image because it really covers a good amount of space on card or even projects. I love love one of the paper bags one of the Magnolia Designers made. You can see that one on the Inspiration site.. unfortunately i could not find out who that actually made. It is gorgeous!
The can does not show too well with white background but this way the ornamental stickers (Stampendous) show better on the picture. Love those.. but they were really difficult to get down. I don' t know if i would do that again.
and here the group shot.

Shabby Chic

Iam late, iam late :-)
My card for today was made using a sketch that i made. I wanted to go fairly simple because we all have lots to do at this time of the year AND since this Holiday stamp release had so many sitting Magnolias i thought it would be giving you plenty of choices to pick your favorite Magnolia. On my sample card i wanted to show how versatile the stamps are. By choosing dark colored Designer papers and lots and lots of distressing and coloring Tildas dress green i think this card would also be nice for someone who is not sooo into the very cute style. Many of the Christmas images work all year round.
now for the supplies: Tilda Christmas Collection 2008
Papers: i believe it is Basic Grey (?) and Stampin up Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip
Embellishments: Stampin up rope, Laundry Line tag, Velvet ribbon (forgot), Making Memories, Prima Marketing
tools: Nestabilities insert grin.. gift from Carole (hehe. all my pretty stuff is from her!!! tomorrow i will show you something i get from Carole i could not make a card without it. I use it on EVERY card!) Distresser, Sewing Machine
Make sure you check out the other very talented designers super adorable cards! I know that Suzanne and Cheryl have their cards on their blogs posted. Thank you so much ladies - i love your cards.. i can not wait to see what you come up with. And here is the sketch: (also perfect to use up all your little pieces of scraps you have created over the years :-)

Gosh.. i was really all and about to just skip this week ... i have made this year so many lilac cards that i did not really had any idea what paper to use. By accident i saw this Basic Grey paper peeking out of my wicker basket and i thought.. mmhh.. that looks kind of like a firework exploding - so i used Tilda from the New Years Collection to hopefully make a "Silvester/New Years" card.

Snow Pals

O-M-G!! what a bad, bad picture for today :-( Sometimes if it is getting a little later in the day i simply do not get enough daylight in the room i have to take my pictures and than it is impossible for me to lift the shadows out with photoshop. I almost did not want to show this card at all on my blog.
I had planned for today a card with a tutorial but than a card magazine from the Netherlands contacted me and asked if i had some Winter cards i could sent in (they have to be there by the 26 of this month) and of course.. :-) that was important for me lol. So last night i worked to finish 2 more cards and they will all shipped this morning. This card was fortunately the perfect themed match for this weeks CCT Challenge to use snowflakes :-) so i did not miss the challenge. iam sorry .. bad pic and no tutorial for today. :-) i hope you forgive me
On the card i used the cute snowman from Magnolia's last year winter collection and the sentiment is from Amuse. This card was part of my Raspberry Ribbon DT work for this month. If you have the kit you also recieved those big plastic snowflakes. This one i covered with paperglaze and covered gernerously with blue Martha Stewart glitter - let dry over night and than layered it on my card. Really simple and it sparkles totally nice.

A little later today when i come back, i will have an other posting up .. i had a few questions regarding my sewing machine, my Magnolia stamp storage and the bins i got at Ikea. Sometimes it is hard for me to describe things in english since it is not my first language, so i think pictures will help more.

Dont forget about the Pretty Pressings blog candy :-) i will draw the winner on Saturday this week.
hugs

Merry Christmas

This card is sold to Christina C. Ich danke dir liebe Christina! xx

Hi, how was your weekend???
We worked around the house and i went to Ikea shopping. I saw over on Rachs blog some storage containers that she used for her copics and i got the same :-) Thanks Rach for sharing your pics of your craft space!
I really like how this card turned out. I love that red paper the most of this Basic Grey paper. This was the first card i have made with one ribbon that you will get in the new Raspberry Ribbon kit. I picked the organdy so the red paper will still be visible. Now.. i don't know if it shows on the picture.. the swing is done with gold thread and every stitch is done twice so it really stands out a lot.

This card is sold to Laurie W. Thank you so much Laurie!!

Okay.. i totally forgot about this card lol.. i better make sure to publish it cause in a few days it really is winter. Michigan got really cold - we had already snow flurries here. I think this was my last fall card.. I am ready for Spring stuff.. funny... since i make cards - iam "off" with seasons lol.. i started in July with Christmas cards lol - and i still don't have as many as i need.

It has been so long since i used a Edwin on my cards he is definitely a cutie! He is fun to color in and so is the oak leaf wreath. I used on that several rust, Orange and brown colors of my Copics. See the 2 ribbons??? Those are from the new Raspberry Ribbon kit! Inside the kit you will find lots of brown ribbons and golden tones.. definitely the colors i love to work with. 12 Days of Christmas

This card was made for my BIG idol Inge from the Netherlands... some of you know that Inge is one of the very first original Magnolia Design Team Members. Oh my gosh.. i was always drooling over her creations .. her coloring i and her style how to layer patterned paper is something i have studied for many hours. So when Inge asked me if I would be up for a Christmas gift exchange (in German "wichteln") i was like .. oh my gosh.. no question :-) but than the pressure was on lol.. . All the papers are super sparkly.. the flowers are with glitter made since the sketch asked for some horizontal elements i picked 2 strings of my Raspberry Ribbons August Paisley kit. All the greens you will get in this kit are perfect to use this time of the year. The sticker (Making Memories) "12 days of Christmas" reminded me kind of like a sign in a train station, so added that one behind Tilda . I think the packages Tilda is sitting on work well with the thought i had.
I submitted this card for this weeks Cute Card Thursday Challenge - we have to make something using greens and reds. Now for the sketch.. i need to give credit for that one to Jay Jay.. i saw it on her blog and printed it out.. it was too late to use this card on the challenge blog because i did not want to show the card before Inge received her present.

taataaa... and this time i even made a note what Copics i used to color my images Tilda and packages in :-)
Face: E000, E00, R20
other: E31, E34, E27, E50, Y23, R27, R14, G99, 0, YG93, Y21, E25, YG95, W5, W3

Holiday

Hi how was your weekend? Ours was kind of "sleepless" :-) the boys catched a virus in school and i was busy cleaning beds, cleaning the car :-) and giving showers at night time. poor kids - i can definitely tell that iam 40 and need my beauty sleep lol.
Now some of you might have already the new Raspberry ribbon kit.. if not you might really consider getting this kit. It is so beautiful it has lots of strings in off white and pure whites in it and also 2 of those plastic snowflakes. At first i did not really know what to do with my "second" snowflake (i forgot to show you my first card.. :-) so i added to the edges Stickles so it would stand out against the bight red color.

Happy Halloween

Hi, here as promised my second card for today. :-) i wanted to make one last Halloween card before it is over :-) Those stamps are so cute - even for next year i thought they will be always fun to use.
The card was made very late last night and for a moment i was thinking to take a picture of the back of the black panel :-) it looks just crazy :-) all the sewing.... was some work but it looks really great in real. Unfortunately the picture does not look so nice :-) cause it was so late

Thank you

i added some bling to my card lol :-)

Hi, ready for the next challenge over on the Friday Sketcher blog ??? :-)
Well as you know you could combine the Cute Card Challenge with the fab sketch Jaqueline created for us. Wow... at first i was totally intimidated by it. I had never used a triangle on my card before. But once i cut the paper and i layered it on my card - i was like WOW THAT looks really good and interesting! No wonder Jaquelines cards are on many magazines published!!! So please check out her card and the other Designers work for this week - oh and btw.. of course we have again a great prize for challenge week #26!

Cheers to you

Hi how are you today? Are you getting ready for the weekend? Please take a look at this weeks challenge on the Cute Card Thursday blog. The challenge is called "Cheers" and you can create anything "drink related" and submit it to the blog.. and enter to win a prize.
. The challenge for me was more "what kind of paper" should i use - i pretty much have only girly papers. I found this sheet in my Basic Grey Ambrosia paper stack but all the other sheets had some sort of orange in them and that did not work. So i came up with this layout where i just needed one sheet of patterend paper. (the "plain" grey is also from the stack and as you know those have some sort of "smudges" and so in them) I used my new Martha Stewart punches to give the card the little extra. You can see one punch "in action" on the front panel and my second border punch was used to create a interesting "masculine" frame in the inside of the card. Okay enough talked ... to finish the card i added some Paper glaze to the glasses and Stickles to the wings.
Stamp: "Party Edwin"
Coloring: Copics
Ink: Versafine, Adiorndack Ranger
Embellishments: Stampin up Silver Hardware .. love the big brads with the stars on it :-), Stickles, Paper Glaze
PS. i think i forgot to publish the card i was talking about yesterday on my second blog :-) the kids totally distraced me. It is up now.

have a cozy Christmas

Today i would love to show you a card that i custom made for Jodi. Please swing over to her blog.. and check it out. She makes herself the cutest cards and is also a Stampin up Demonstrator!!!! I really had to ask her if she is serious that i should make her cards lol :-) Thank you so much Jodi!!!
Jodi wanted me to make two cards one for herself.. a summery scene card - which you can see on my second blog. I used a Alota stamp and a girl with a bike to create the scene. For the second card Jodi asked for a Christmas card for her nice and to use her favorite stamp Tilda giggling. I suggested to use the fireplace with her to create the cozy feeling for Christmas. I thought the bright colors from the SU paper are beautiful for a young girls card.

on the envelope i used the big Christmas box stamp.
Inside of the card i stamped Magnolia pile of presents and the sentiment is by Amuse Art stamps
Coloring: Copic Sketch
Supplies as ribbon and Paper: all Stampin up
other: Making Memories and Prima Marketing

Altered Purse for Magnolia

okay.. can you believe it :-) This project was accepted to be published in a magazine and totally forgot to sent the data sheet to the requested time in. Gosh..after the hospital the kids got sick and after that me.. (as usual) Iam really upset with myself!!

Removed for publishing
This purse was sent to me with the Christmas stamps from Magnolia. At first i tried to cover the bag with Designer paper but all the metal hinges made the job impossible. I would have not looked good. So i went to the craft store looking for stenciling or spray paint. NOTHING.. i got some Distress Ink in the hope that i could cover the white papmache with that and add than some rub-ons on. That did not work either. You don't want to know how the bag looked at that point. I was frustrated. My last chance was than the STAZON Timber Brown ink pad :-) (since i did not want to create such a super even surface that a spray paint would create). I rubbed the ink right with the ink pad to the bag and worked with kitchen towel to create the "texture". After that the job was a breeze.

Removed for publishing

All DP's you see on that project are tiny scraps i kept from Magnolia. Even the tag is from Sweden. All what i did is some sponging and adding rub-ons plus the 3-D Elements i found those at Michaels in the K& Company Section. I marked the spots where the brads would go with my SU piercing template so they are evenly spaced. This purse is already in Sweden and can be seen in the Magnolia store in Boras.

Here is a fun little projcet i made with the Halloween Magnolia's :-) and a doorhanger i got from Debbies Die Cuts. Those doorhangers are so fun to decorate and i was able to use up a lot of my scrap paper i had left from the cards i have made. I will be making one for Thanksgiving too.
