Next Edition - Valentines

Valentines Issue

My card on the back cover :-) yeaaahhh… so proud… unfortunately credit to me has not been given. Oh well…  :-)
Below you can see my original card – I must say i like my own photo a tick better. I just like bright colors. In real my cards are not as pale colored, below picture gives you a much better idea how the card looked like.  I am quite excited to see what the Design Team came up with. I received 2 stamps from older lines (2008/2009) to make 2 cards for the new forthcoming issue – so i am curious to see of course any new images just as you all are.

Merry Christmas

Hello, thanks for swinging by today.
I would love to show you a rather simple card, using just 1 sheet of 6x6 Designer Paper. Keeps the bulk to a minimum :-)

The sketch for this card is by Caz for this weeks
Cute Card Thursday Challenge. If you do not know the measurements, in memory cause you have made a card like this before… here is what i did, i used some scrap paper and cut those into my stripes first, arranged them on my card base and than cut into my precious Design Paper.

Not sure if you can tell.. Tilda is cut out and popped up onto some spacer. Hahahaha doesn’t it look like i wanted it to be this way??? Gee i almost had to toss this card. I was finished.. her hair was dark brown and her dress was “off white” really i must say i almost liked it that way better. Than i thought…ooh i fix one more time over the lines in her face and for some reason the ink on her eyes smeared all over her nose. It really looked horrible. I tried to fix it but it got even worse. So… this is how i ended up with a card like that :-)

Penelope’s 1. Christmas

Claudia_Rosa_Penelopes card_1
My card is made for one of my readers grand daughter. I am truly flattered that she had emailed me beginning of the week if i would make a “pink” Christmas card for little Penelope. Thanks so much Christina for your trust. The card will get some tweaking – Christina asked me if i would add a tag with “Penelope’s 1. Christmas” – i will tug a little tag under the teal rose in the lower left corner. This card is finished in the inside and also has a stamped sentiment in the inside.

OH .. also… Paulo loooved the prawns i have made. I will share quickly how i made them. Remember i do not like fish, very much so i have not tried it but the recipe is from a Italian lady i have met in my neighborhood.
anyhow
2 pounds of frozen wild shrimp or i got 1 pound of wild pawns
Dei Fratelli Tomato Sauce about 3/4 of the can
2-3 Garlic gloves minced
1 onion
Olive oil
Parsley (dried is fine)
She told me to add some water – i used a bit of dry white wine
heat oil, add finely copped onions and minced garlic – cook but do not let them brow
add tomato sauce and the fish
spice with salt, pepper and parsley
once it is almost cooked add the wine or the water.

She uses pasta with this dish – Paulo asked for rice.

Hello… thank you for your visit.. Happy Halloween for those of you who read only my Magnolia blog :-)

On my card i have used a olive colored piece.

The lighting is not too good on the pics.. i took them at night time. Here is a batch of vintage violet. I died the ribbons on purpose with different colors – so there are spots darker and some lighter. violet
