Showers Of Love - CBC1

Hello and happy Saturday. Thank you so much for all your entries in the Alota blog candy i posted yesterday on my site. Those two new sets are really wonderful :-)
As you probably noticed for my cards this week i have picked several older images to make my Valentines cards. I spoke with Carole and Bea how much i always loved this Tilda with umbrella :-) first of all isn't she CUTE lol.. second ... she fits perfectly inside the Nestabilities because she is smaller than the newer images, third this image can be used for so many occasions, I like her for Baby Showers, Bridal Showers, Get Well, "Feeling under the Weather", Spring cards and as my sample card Valentines. I used the little tiny heart punch outs that were created from my Mini Hearts Martha Stewart border punch. I added some glue to the card and picked the heart up with a thin needle and placed it on the spot i wanted it to be.

I used the little tiny heart punch outs that were created from my Mini Hearts Martha Stewart border punch. I added some glue to the card and picked the heart up with a thin needle and placed it on the spot i wanted it to be. I don't know if it shows on the close up picture - there is Paper Glaze on her hand and on the ground (must have to glue things down or for Spring :-) - the flowers have stickles on them. For a moment i was considering hot pink flowers but i wanted to keep the colors muted, so the umbrellas on the Designer paper would show more.

If you like this stamp as much as Carole, Bea and i do - please take a peek on their sites to see what they came up with. If you have this stamp - feel yourself challenged too :-) you can link your card here on my blog. Next week sweet Carole will set a challenge. oh and we have a name for this challenge too ……..CBC1 Challenge…… :-0)
Love and hugs

3 REALLY sweet girls

Good morning.. how are you? Before i start with my project, i wanted to bring your attention to a new blog feature i was able to add to my blog last night. If you look to the upper left hand - you will see a new field that will let you search my blog for things you are interested. This way you don't need to go flip through my blog page by page! only type in Valentines.. and every posting with Valentines show up.. try Copics or Summer Sea Collection.. This way if you have a certain stamp you are not sure how to use or need ideas.. you will see cards i have made using those stamp you are interested.

To make some Valentines presents for Kindergarten i used some heart shaped lollipops found at Target for $1 each.. colored in some Tildas from the Valentines Collection , bind some matching ribbons on the wood stick and just sat Tilda on top of that. The best glue for it are the biggest Zott glue dots! As you can tell the Tildas are colored in, but i did not spent awefully lot of time on adding shades. Lets face it lol.. those lollipops will be pushed into a backpack minutes after they got them and i don't think they will make it very far.
How ever.. i did not spent that much time on coloring, i wanted to decorate them nicely, so i added some tiny rose flowers on the site and the names are written on little tags i have made with the Word Window punch. Very cute, cheap and fast! As you can see your Magnolia's really do work for all kinds of projects... they are big but the sitting girls work for many things.
Have a good day and please give me some feedback what you think about the new "search" option on my blog
Thank you so much!!!
hugs

Be Mine

Hello and happy Tuesday. Wow.. my husband was off work yesterday and i still was able to finish this card using the ISMAKI sketch for this week. If you check out the site.. the sketch requires you to have 3 circles and 3 flowers in the upper right corner. I loved that new red Making Memories paper and one side looks just like the paper doilies Magnolia has sent me in my last DT kit. If you like the doilies i have seen some in heart shaped or regular round at Michaels in the backing section.
The 3 flowers are punched out Whisper White paper and i airbrushed the flower fist with E31 and than the edges of the petals just with a hint of R 22. All the DP papers are airbrushed with this color as well. On each scallop of the big circle i added a drop of red Stickles to match the sparkly heart embellishment.
this is a close up of the main image.. i had to brighten it really up so the subtle shimmer on the flower petals and on Tilda's apron and socks would show a little bit. I used for that a glitter pen - which is nice especially if you have whites on the clothes. you can add with that interest and depth to the clothes.

Here are the supplies i have used for this card:
Stamp: Magnolia "Tilda" Kitchen Collection
DP/CS: Making Memories, Whisper White (airbrushed to almost Very Vanilla using E31), Hero Arts red Rhinestone stickers, Martha Stewart for Pearls and round heart embellishment, Stampin up red Taffeta ribbon

Happy Birthday

Hello and happy Monday. :-) unlike my other cards recently i used bright colors this time to match the colors from the Raspberry Ribbon kit for February. I thought it is the a nice match for a bright and happy Birthday card. Some thoughts of this card - to the left where Tilda is are frilly girly ribbons and on the right with Edwin is a more "maskulin" embellishment. I always make sure when i use pins that they are hidden inside the paper or like here one you can see the end but it is in an ancle pushed it so it is save to touch the card!!! On this card i masked Tilda and stamped than Edwin. I usually cut my images out because i do like the 3-Dimensional look. Masking is not something i enjoy to do :-) but iam happy with the result on this card. (don't ask how many times i started over lol)
For the sentiment i used a retired Level 2 Set that is called "All about Occasions" I have used that one quite often on my cards because the words are a perfect match to use with the Word Window Punch. I do have one extra set which i want to list on Ebay later today.
Stamps: Tilda and Edwin are from the Shabby Chic Collection . Sentiment: Stampin up "All about Occasions"
Embellishments: Ribbons: Raspberry Ribbon Kit, Pins from my own share, Making Memories
CS/DP: Stampin up, DP i can not remember it was from the stash

And One For The Girls

Hello how are you today?
This is my girl version of the Valentines gift bag for the kids in Lucas Kindergarten. Fairly simple - the punched swirls look nice and it does not cost a fortune to "pep" the bag up with things like that. Iam so thrilled that sweet Carole ordered that punch for me! :-) Thank you so much!
Stamps: Tilda from the Valentines Collection 2008
Papers/CS: Stampin up (WWhite and Chocolate Chip) /Bittersweet Collection
Embellishments: Making Memories and Stampin up
Tools: EK Swirl punch and Martha Stewart Heart Lace punch

wow.... sweet Heather from Enchanted Stamping gave me this wonderful award! looove that one and the colors are just what i love :-) matches my blog layout lol. Thank you so much Heather!

I would nomitate today my dear friend Helene from Altoa Rubberstamps. Helene is not only the owner of Alota Rubberstamps.. no - finally she has her own blog where she shows her own wonderful creations. So if you like take a minute to visit her site.

Thinking of you

this card is sold to my friend Crissy! Thank you once again :-)
Hello and a happy Thursday. Today's challenge for you to follow on the "Cute Card Challenge" blog is to use something you had for Christmas :-) I can not tell you.. but i had the hardest time with this challenge. This card was made yesterday morning because the first idea i could not translate at first. The first thing i had in mind when i read the challenge..."use what you had for Christmas" was FOOD - lots and lots of food and sweet treats lol :-). As said i had still by yesterday morning no clue where to get started. I picked out some pretty papers that caught my eye, this one is from Basic Grey "Bittersweet" Collection and Imaginice and started on the layout. I knew i wanted to use one of the 3!!! Nestabilitie sets i received from my generous friend Carole.!!! xxx After that i needed a image to add to my label, i remembered this cute Tilda from the "Kitchen Collection" . This cute Tilda has heart stitched on her apron. Wonderful.. she is lovely and can be used on so many occasions.
The sentiment is a set from Stampin up, it is called "Fresh Cuts" and i heat embossed that onto the pink Basic Grey "Bittersweet" paper with black detail embossing powder. After that, i used one of my Glitter pens, did you know that Alota has them for sale as well, to give the flowers (behind Tilda) and her dress and socks the subtle sparkle. All over i think this card is quite elegant and could also be used as a Mothers Day card.

The inside is kept in the same style as the outside. I wanted to keep the layout the same. The sentiment here is also with black detail embossing powder created. I used 4 pink rhinestone stickers in the inside to keep the theme the same. Last but not least i used the fabulous "Grunge" stamp set that i got from Kristine, to frame the label where the text can be written on. It is not very visible because i first airbrushed this panel with a pink Copic marker and than used SU Classic ink "Going Grey" with the stamp (stamped once off) to add the swirls.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every of my friends for the wonderful cards and presents big or small that you have sent my boys and for me. It truly warmed my heart during this time. Hugs!!! xxx

Lil' Alva and her forest friends

Hello happy Wednesday. I really love to work with my new papers. Oh my gosh.. how cute is this new line from Imaginice???? I knew right away when i saw it on the rack, that i wanted to use it with my Alf and Alva Magnolia stamps! All my cards before with this line used kind of "serious" papers, but aren't those images so versatile and look just adorable with any style????

The card created using this weeks fabulous ISMAKI sketch! The sketch required two embellishments on the top right corner but i could not bare to cover up my little deer and that bird :-) so Heidi Swapp's ghost daisy flowers were just perfect. They fill in the empty spot but do not overpower the card layout. I added Paper Glaze to the flower Alva is holding and the top of her hat (heart). Stickles is used on petals of ghost shape and the pink mat. The ribbons can be found in next months Raspberry Ribbon Kit! I used on this card the yellow and green organdy ribbon strings.
Here are a couple of pictures to show the envelo box i made for this card. The tutorial for this envelope can be found here.
Thanks a bunch for stopping by today :-)
i have also altered something to match the card :-) spent some time this weekend with my stuff :-)

VALENTINE

Hello and happy Monday.
My card for today was inspired by the wonderful new Valentines word files you can find over at The Cutting Cafe! I printed the Valentines directly onto the Basic Grey Designer paper and tucked that underneath the other panels. This way i had my Sentiment added to the card and i did not had to worry where else to add. The Basic Grey paper is one of the lines from last year but oh is it pretty.. it matches perfectly the pink Ribbon strings you will receive in your Raspberry Ribbon kit for next month. You should check it out.. you will get all kinds of fresh Spring colors in that one :-)
After a long time i have made my own envelope using one of the big 12x12 sheets of the same line Basic Grey paper. Come back a little later once i have all the photos edited and the text ready to see how it is created - yes... lol i did have my memory card this time in the camera :-)
Here is the decorated inside of the card. To add the sentiment i used a piece of the Basic Grey rose paper with a little pattern on but not overpowering so the Sentiment will still stand out. It is hard to see but here is a little Victorian (Perlmutt - i don't know the English word for that) heart as decoration added as well. The frame is high lightened with Stickles you can find this and Basic Grey Papers at Summers store!
Embellishments: Ribbons by Raspberry Ribbons, Stickles, victorian embellishments found at Archivers and Joann, Prima Marketing, Martha Stewart
This handmade card is for sale :-) Thank you for swinging by! xxx

A handful of love and another of kisses...

Good morning... it is time that my husband and i go back to our routine.. since he is home during the holidays i go to bed each night later and later and i need my beauty sleep lol. Puh... this card was made i think end of November but than i got the new Magnolia stamps and STAMPAVIE goodies and i totally forgot to show this card. But now it is really time.. i have already cleaned up my winter paper and pulled my Spring colors out. I do this paper from My Minds eye is very pretty and will also work for Valentines.
I usually keep the ribbon ends longer until the card is ready to be mailed because everytime i untie bow and have to bind it again it will never turn out the same anymore.
Well.. and here you see two pictures of the inside of the card. Iam not happy the way the picture turned out. It is all about the time of the day i take my pictures. I love this sentiment i bought especially to use with my Magnolia stamps. It says

"A handful of love an other of kisses
an angel sent on a snowflake
to deliver winter wishes"

Paper/CS: Purely Promegranate (retiered SU color 2007), So Saffron, Whisper White, My Minds Eye (I think Laundry Line)
Embellishments: Stampin up Purely Promegranate Satin Ribbon, Swarovski Chrystal, Lace and hemp gift from my dear friend Carole i think it is 7 Gypsies, SU Dazzeling Diamond Dust as snow and buttons Making Memories

Happy Heart Day

Hello all i wish you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!! May all your wishes come true and you and your family stay healthy. Puh.. i am late with my posting for today... lol.. i had not even time to make a card or even THINK about a layout for the last 3 days. Gosh.. where am i going to start lol. I think those are going to be so cute again on Spring cards. My card uses several scrap papers from the stash. so i can not give you all the credits for the Designer papers i used. The Polkadot paper is Making Memories. I airbrushed the flower with E31 to match the look of the card and all the papers are airbrushed as well. The sentiment is from Stampin up.

The hearts on the envelope are also from Magnolia and i added to the polka dots and stripes Stickles so are the tiny dots on the scalloped circle in the inside of the card.
