I Love My Cat - Sneek Peek Pet Collection

Hello and good morning.. my card uses the wonderful sketch my friend Jaqueline created for the Friday Sketcher blog. Check it out.. we have so many different sample cards to see what is possible with this sketch. I just mounted my octagon on my 6x6 card base lol. To cut the perfect ankled corners i used my Scor-pal cutting mat and lined my cs on the 45 degree angle (click on link and you will see what i mean) and cut with an exacto knife. That was the easy part but boy the stitched "x" with hemp on my card took long. At one point i regretted that idea lol.

Stamps: Magnolia " Tilda from the Pet Collection" Cat in the inside can be found in a 2007 Collection
Sentiment: computer generated
Papers/CS: Bo Bunny "Pet", Making Memories "Chloes Closet" Stampin up (Kraft, Blue, Vanilla, Chocolate Chip)
Tools: Stampin up punch, Scor Pal self healing cutting mat
Embellishments: Mother of pearl fish embellishment and flower button received from Heidi over on Papirverden for Christmas :-) everything else is by Stampin up

Happy Fourth

Hello and a wonderful Friday. Today's card is created using the wonderful sketch that Heidi has prepared for us to follow on the Friday Sketcher blog. As simple as this sketch looks like.. i had really some trouble with it.
I don't know if you can see it but the paper i have used to stamp Tilda on is my newest favorite paper lol. My friend Jacque told me so much about this paper for a long time, but boy this CS is so pricey i was NOOOO iam not buying it.. i use Neenah paper.. so she sent me a full pack to play with lol.. thank you so much sweetie. Girls i tell you.. this paper is a DREAM. It kind of looks like Stampin up's Shimmery white cs.. the Copics blend like butter on it and if you cut images out it still does look so nice because the paper is thin. The sparkle of this paper is amazing.. it almost brings your images alive. I was worried with airbrushing but even with this layer of color on top of the paper it still sparkles. The Tilda with bird card was made with this card stock as well. oh... now you want to know the name of the paper right it is called Curious Iridescent Paper color "Cryogen White"

Edit: Please check out the 2009 blog hop "Cards for Heros". I was informed by Carole W. and i thought i submit this card. I do not have a personal experience with soldiers who serve the Untited States but i have the highest respect for each and anyone who serves to protect and make any country save. My uncle from my mothes side served for the Untited States in the Army. If you join the blog hop you can win many prizes sponsored by example Hero Arts ect. the first start for you to hop can be found at Cathy's fabulous blog.

Gift Tags

Hello and happy Thursday. Thank you for swinging by today - if you came to leave me a comment because you have seen my "Tough Guy" card over for CCT Challenge - THANK YOU SO much! :-) I can not show this card here on this blog but you could see that card in bigger on "Pretty Cards" thats my second blog. I have posted there today 2 cards.
I did not want to show anything here - it is not much only 3 little tags i have made to decorate gifts. :-) I like to use images iam not happy with my coloring for that. Most of the time my Copic marker makes a big "blub" of ink just when iam about to finish... it is so upsetting. Rather than tossing the image in the trash. i keep it and try using it on other things. Stamps: Magnolia can be found in the Love Collection 2009 and Shabby Chic Collection 2008,
Thank you!
Hugs and Love Claudia

VALENTINE

Hello and happy Monday.
My card for today was inspired by the wonderful new Valentines word files you can find over at The Cutting Cafe! I printed the Valentines directly onto the Basic Grey Designer paper and tucked that underneath the other panels. This way i had my Sentiment added to the card and i did not had to worry where else to add. The Basic Grey paper is one of the lines from last year but oh is it pretty.. it matches perfectly the pink Ribbon strings you will receive in your Raspberry Ribbon kit for next month. You should check it out.. you will get all kinds of fresh Spring colors in that one :-)
After a long time i have made my own envelope using one of the big 12x12 sheets of the same line Basic Grey paper. Come back a little later once i have all the photos edited and the text ready to see how it is created - yes... lol i did have my memory card this time in the camera :-)
Here is the decorated inside of the card. To add the sentiment i used a piece of the Basic Grey rose paper with a little pattern on but not overpowering so the Sentiment will still stand out. It is hard to see but here is a little Victorian (Perlmutt - i don't know the English word for that) heart as decoration added as well. The frame is high lightened with Stickles you can find this and Basic Grey Papers at Summers store!
Embellishments: Ribbons by Raspberry Ribbons, Stickles, victorian embellishments found at Archivers and Joann, Prima Marketing, Martha Stewart
This handmade card is for sale :-) Thank you for swinging by! xxx

Snow Pals

O-M-G!! what a bad, bad picture for today :-( Sometimes if it is getting a little later in the day i simply do not get enough daylight in the room i have to take my pictures and than it is impossible for me to lift the shadows out with photoshop. I almost did not want to show this card at all on my blog.
I had planned for today a card with a tutorial but than a card magazine from the Netherlands contacted me and asked if i had some Winter cards i could sent in (they have to be there by the 26 of this month) and of course.. :-) that was important for me lol. So last night i worked to finish 2 more cards and they will all shipped this morning. This card was fortunately the perfect themed match for this weeks CCT Challenge to use snowflakes :-) so i did not miss the challenge. iam sorry .. bad pic and no tutorial for today. :-) i hope you forgive me
On the card i used the cute snowman from Magnolia's last year winter collection and the sentiment is from Amuse. This card was part of my Raspberry Ribbon DT work for this month. If you have the kit you also recieved those big plastic snowflakes. This one i covered with paperglaze and covered gernerously with blue Martha Stewart glitter - let dry over night and than layered it on my card. Really simple and it sparkles totally nice.

A little later today when i come back, i will have an other posting up .. i had a few questions regarding my sewing machine, my Magnolia stamp storage and the bins i got at Ikea. Sometimes it is hard for me to describe things in english since it is not my first language, so i think pictures will help more.

Dont forget about the Pretty Pressings blog candy :-) i will draw the winner on Saturday this week.

Frosty Greetings

Hi there :-) today is Friday Sketcher Time and Bea provided a absolutely wonderful sketch for this week to follow. Love it!
Dig out your old Creative Memories Templates and get started :-) or just make some smaller cards using your Nestabilities. Those little cards are prefect to tuck on a present and they are fast :-) Well.. have i told you that we have a wonderful sponsor for this week? Check out Gina K Designs.. she has adorable cute stamps in her store.

I have picked the snowman first he is cute of course :-) and there was not much to color in (cut my time a lot shorter on the craft table) aaaaand because i can show you some of the things you will receive in the new Rasberry Ribbon kit. From the kit i used the white sheer organdy ribbon and those shimmery fabric snowflakes. They really looked nice with the DP.
Stamps: Magnolia "snowman" from 2007 Collection, Amuse Art Stamps
Paper: Heidi Grace, white, Celery and Bazzill textured
Embellies: new Rasberry Ribbon "white" kit and Stickles

I also wanted to tell you about Ingers wonderful giveaway . Inger designs her own motifs. Those images are just sooo cute. Really go check them out.. :-) i know you will love em!

Happy Holidays

Todays card was made already in July :-) I really, really love this card. It was really a labor of love. The masking of the floor took me a while, because the scale of the stone floor was not right at first. The coloring of this card is all done with Copic sketch markers. At this point i had not as many colors and i worked a lot with my blender pen (look at the fire place how the color gets light to the top). The more makers you have the easier and faster it is to color in of course. On the fire is some Stickles to make is sparkle, sponging was done with Close to Cocoa ink.

I just went to comment on blogs and found a wonderful card using also this Magnolia. check out Clodine's card using this Tilda. I loove this card.
This card is sold to Christina :-) Thank you so much that you liked this card.

Stamps: Magnolia
Sentiment: retiered Level 1 set, Art Impressions
CS and DP: K&Company, Blue Bayou and Chocolate Chip
Embellishements: Stickles, Double stichted SU ribbon, antique brads
Tools: Sweing machine, Creative Memories circle template, ribbons slider Nestabilities

Yes, these pictures do not have watermarks because they were submitted to a card magazine but remember that they are digitally protected by "my free copyright". Unfortunately i have to mention this these days. Thank you!

Lovely

Hi there.. .iam sorry if i caused yesterday some confusion with my posting for today. I had all of a sudden problems with blogger (Hallo Gisela Lach...) my hubby was able to fix gosh.. i thought i had to start a new blog...
Today's card uses a sketch that my friend Kristine created for the Friday Sketcher blog to follow this week. I would love to thank you in the name of all Sassy Sketchers again that she agreed to join.. i have invited her already at the beginning of the blog but she denied so iam even more thrilled to have her now sharing her incredible talent with us.

Again.. i am not happy with the picture of my card. Seams every time when i color Tilda on the sled the pic is all dark. I spoke yesterday with my friend Michelle cause i love how her pictures look and asked for her advice on tents. I really appreciate Michelles knowledge in crafting things and she was so kind to share her experience.

Stamps: Tilda with sled was sent to me by Diana Crick - I think Diana has her in stock so please contact her at magnolia.us@shaw.ca
Designer Paper: Fiskars Heidi Grace, Soft Sky
Embellishments: Making Memories and Stickles on the layers of CS, Swarovski Christal's.

Today I wanted to tell Patti that i think a lot about her! Patti is leaving Switzerland and is preparing her big move to Australia. Gosh i know so much how it feels and how scary it is. If you can drop her a line on her card making blog :-) i think she will not be able to post something there in a while :-)

I love frosty nights and warm hearts

Hello and happy Monday. Today i have to show a picture of a card i am so dissapointed with. I have tried 2 days in a row to get a nice picture of this card - but it simply did not work out. The weather was not very nice over the weekend.

This card really sparkles so pretty!!! I used Stampin up's Heat and Stick powder to adhere Dazzeling Diamond Dust. The stamp i used to add the swirls to the background paper is from Stampin up "Baroque Motifs". One of my all time favorite stamps cause it is so versatile!!!! Tilda is watercolored and i used lots of Twinkeling H2o paints to give the image also shimmer. Stickles is used on the scallops.

Stamps: This Magnolia stamp I love this stamp and will defenetly use her very soon on my cards again :-) i do not know the name of this stamp but it is a 2007 winter collection stamp.
Sentiment: Elzybell (isnt this perfect??? i bought last month a whole bunch of them)
Swirl from Debbies Die Cuts. You have to check her store.. she has so many wonderful die cuts!!!! Plus she will cut for you in any color cs you want for your project.
Stampin up: Baroque Motifs for the swirls
Other: Prima Marketing flowers , bottom flower was sent to me by my sweet friend Carole
circular silver embellishements were found at Archivers in the wedding section
Before i forget again ... have you seen that Carmen has something on her blog? check out Carmens Candy

Brrrruuummm - Boys And Their Toys

Today is Cute Card Thursdays new Challenge up :-) This week you should be using "Bright Colors" on your projects. I thought this Designer Paper is just perfect and really "boyish" :-)
The toy stamps are from a retired Stampin up set "Toy Box" i got it just before it retired and never used up until now. Almost every toy has a star on it - i thought will look nice together with all Edwins that has a star on pants or sweater. :-) There was also a similar set to Toy Box for just for girls.. it included dolls ect. I wish i would own this set as well :-(

Stamps: Edwin (Shabby Chic Collection 2008), steps are from winter or fall collection 2007 .

Just the 2 of us

Today is the new Cute Card Thursday Challenge up! Challenge number 22 (wow.. time flies fast) is: 'The two of us'.
I used the theme on my sentiment. The picture of my card does not show really well all the glitter i used to make it look like there is snow on the grass and the wall. Unfortunately i sent this card wasy and by the time i did the photoediting .. it was already gone :-( So i was not able to take a new one in different light. Oh well.. i certainly learned from that. In real the area were the grass ist azzels and sparkles like crazy and it looks white! You can barely notice the color of the grass. I could have used liquid applique to imitate the snow.. i think this is the better solution if you want to show off snow on a card for blogs or fotos. I just personally love glitter more and iam a bad photographer :-)

oh well.. here is a close up shot.. still trying i guess.. but it is not much better. You can tell how dissapointed iam.
CS: Chocolate Chip CS, Whisper White and Close to Cocoa
Accessories: Ribbon: Michaels, Stampin up: silver Hodgepodge, Stickles Glue on wings, Stampin up: Dazzeling Diamond Dust,Swarovski Chrystals, (Michaels), Hero Arts Pearl stickers (Archivers)
Sentiment: Computer
Tools: Sewing machine, Stampin up Circle Punch
Coloring: Copic Marker

I have some other news to share with you!!!! :-)
Iam so happy to tell you that my very good friend Kristine has accepted my invitation to become a DTM or better a "Sassy Sketcher Girl" on the Friday Sketcher blog. Iam very excited about this.. i think her work is amazing and she will defenetly inspire me with her cardmaking style. Please come and join us tomorrow on the Friday Sketcher blog when Bea introduces her new sketch for the week.
I would love you to check out Claudia's fantastic work. I think most of the blogging friends know her for certain because she leaves on so many blogs the kindest and sweetes comments. Thank you Claudia!!!

You Did It!

Edit to add: Thank you so very much Clotilde for purchasing this card. I will ship tomorrow to your adress.

Are you ready for the weekend? If you have some time to play with your stamps - maybe you want to join us over on the Friday Sketcher blog? Kimmie came up with a FABULOUS sketch - make sure to look at her personal blog too, cause she shows there on more than just one sample how fun and versatile this sketch is!!

As you can tell.. iam already totally into fall and winter card mood :-). Aaaahhh.. i need to go switch and use my summer stamps before it is too late.. i still have a few darling summer Alota and Magnolia stamps i have not used enough. The stores do not even have winter paper out yet.. this is a piece that was left from last year. It is Basic grey "Friddy Pudding" (or so :-)
Here is a close up shot of the card cause it was hard to get that sparkle of this card onto picture. i added Stickles to the scallops to make them sparkle and Dazzeling Diamond Dust is in the szenery. The pond were Tilda is skating on is filled with Paper Glaze to make it look like it is frozen. Love this kind of patterend skirt Tilda is wearing, i think Paris Tilda has the same one.
Now for the supplies
Stamps: Magnolia
DP and CS: Basic Grey and Stampin up
Ribbon: Stampin up: brown polytwill and rasberry ribbons for the icy blue (Paisley Kit)
Embellishments: Stampin up Hodgepodge (retiered), Dazzeling Diamond Dust, Paper Glaze, Stickles

Missed

It all started with the ribbon :-)
I wanted to use a ribbon out of the Rasberry ribbon August kit and from there i went through my Designer Paper. I always loved this DP i do not remember if it is Basic Grey cause i made already many cards arround Feburary with these and there was no print anymore on the backside. I was happy to see that i just had enough to use it for this layout. Farm Tilda is just so darling and she was the perfect fit for this card.

See the cute heart shaped buttons? they are also from Rasberry Ribbons. The little tin (Little Tin of Love) contains many heart shaped buttons in lots of colors - i really love this one a lot.

I totally forgot to tell you about Hannes blog candy!!!! Oh you have to check it out. She is giving away wonderful Prima flowers and much more. You should not only go to Hannes blog because of the candy - check out her artwork.. it is beautiful.

This cute Magnolia Tilda
For today i wanted to show you a card my friend Carole sent me with these flowers i used on my card for today. I will do this tomorrow... I wanted to mention just a few of my favorite blogs and blogging friends today, who also have been so kind and very helpful to me. If you have not been there today ... maybe you can take a minute and click on the link i added to the names?? Thank you!!!
Nikki and her very talented daughter Zoe
sorry this mail is getting longer and longer :-) but guess what - the lady who won the new Magnolia stamp yesterday did not claim it... soooooo i will pick an other one tomorrow for the stamp with some embellies :-)

Cherish

Today's card is made with all scrap paper from a previous card. Infact.. love this layout so much because i can use so much paper i had previously cut - that i made 2 more cards (insert rolling eyes here) The layers are all sewed. I added Dazzeling Diamond Dust around the Vanilla oval, just to give it a nice touch because it is not sponged.
Ribbons: Blue Grosgrain, vanilla sheer organdy ribbon and green ribbon are from the Rhasberry Ribbon kit July
Swirls can be found at Debbies Die Cuts
Sentiment: Computer generated
Paper: Daisy D's, Vanilla, Wild Wasabi, Ruby Red

Happy

I can not believe i only made one card with this cute little Tilda so far :-) I wanted to give her a really soft look so i used my Stampin up reinkers to color her in. The top was an experiement with Derwent Watercolor Pencils. Iam not so happy with them.. probably just something i have to try more often - iam just more used to the aquapainter and ink.

Magnolia: Tilda with Ballon from the Spring kit can be ordered at Magnolia Sweden or at Magnolia-licous for Northamerica and Canada
Ribbons: Rasberry June kit
Oh i almost forgot... Nikki has some faboulous blog candy to give away AND you can see on her blog how the new Magnolia spring kit looks like. Lucky she ... she got her stuff already!

For my Mom

My husband is leaving for a business trip to Washington DC. I am kind of excited :-) iam hoping to have maybe more time to get some cards done in peace... cause the basement work will stop for a week on the other hand iam worried that i will be too tiered after i have the boys in bed to get anything creative done.

I love this card.... i think it is the new paper i got :-) it is from the DCWV Nanny girl pack. So cute and soft colors inside. I thought Tilds with nightgown is the prefect match for this style card. I sat her of some swirls i got from Debbies die Cuts (if you like check out my second blog.. i posted there a card using more die cuts and show an other possibility to use Alotas gorgeous background stamp with people images) since i have already so much ribbon at the top part of the card. The reverse scallops are made with the Stampin up Tab punch - i took a few fotos how to make the reverse scallops in January.
