Hoppy Easter

Hello thank you so much for your kind words about my new blog layout out. It was time for some “Spring Cleaning”! I like that i was able to take some stuff off my blog roll and just add some basic things, into the tabs. I might still add some linking’s.

My friend Kristine did all if it for me! She even took that beautiful picture, that is in the header for me. I love the vintage look with all the old books. Thank you so very much dear Kristine :-) I could have never done that myself! :-)

Well… for my card… I know Easter is just around the corner and i had to use my cute Hoppy Bunny one more time. I have masked him and stamped the smaller “Row of Tulips” from the Shabby Chic Collection in front of him.

I have added my decorations to the left of the card and looked and thought…. hmmm what is Hoppy looking at??? So that’s where the butterflies came into the picture.

All the papers are heavily distressed with a distressing tool and Vintage Photo ink and some layers are pulled back to expose the mat and i squeezed Stickles in between the layers.

Sending My Love

Hello and a wonderful day to all of you. Today i would love to show you a card that i have first made inspired by my friend Jeanette’s sketch for the the Friday Sketcher blog.

The card size is a long format, but the card still fits in my envelopes for the 6x6 cards – i like to make those sized cards here and there.

The layout matched scale wise with the sketch and the cut out from my new Nestabilitie “Lotus” die. I cut it from white cardstock and used Stickles heavily on it. Let dry and than used that to frame my sentiment.

Tilda with flowing hair” is stamped onto Arches 300 gr hot press watercolor paper, colored with ink refills and cut out. I colored the little yellow flowers in Tilda’s basket a hint too dark, they simply would not show, so i used some yellow Stickles on top of those as well.

Spring Home Decor

Thank you so much for all your kind comments and swinging by today.

Finally today i can show you my altered Birdhouse that i have made in October 2009. It was so funny.. when i edited the pictures i had in the back some pumpkins showing.

Well, I have made this for Magnolia Ink 2 but as you know, it was not published. I guess because in Ink 1 was already a birdhouse. However for me Spring time is the time for birds and butterflies like that, so i have waited for the right time to show on my blog. It fits right into the season and to the new challenge we have posted over on Cute Card Thursday which is “Dimensions”.

At the time when we got the themes mailed i was at Joann’s and i saw the heart cut from the birdhouse i thought what a cute idea for Valentines/Spring.

Vogelhaus_re

The house is mounted onto a candle stick holder – and a square base.

First i have painted most of the parts i knew i would have trouble to cover with Designer paper with Tim Holtz Distress Crackle paint in Tattered Rose. Than i covered the the house part (under the roof as well) and base with vintage papers from Crafty Secrets.

Vogelhaus_4_re

Then i was ready to embellish. I sprayed the entire house heavily with Tattered Angles Glimmer mist and added pearl stickers, stickles and ribbon to the house. Vogelhaus_2_re

Stamps: Tilda with heart (Pink Collection)
Bird (Christmas Collection 2009/10)
Sentiment: Chasing Butterfly Collection 2009
Frog/Butterflies (earlier Collections i guess 2007)
Paper: Crafty Secret
Embellishment: Ribbon (Offray & Stampin up Soft Sky) pearl stickers, STickles, Tim Holtz Crackle paint, Lace and all the wood parts (Joann Fabric)

This house was a birthday gift for my friend Christina :-)

Happiness Be Yours

Hello, thank you for swinging by today.

Where do i start to tell you how this card came together… First today’s challenge over on Cute Card Thursday is “Anniversary” so i knew i wanted to make a card that’s elegant.

The scalloped paper and the simple striped one from Basic Grey’s Origins pack did the trick – i would have not had an idea how to use this paper in any other way. I had a hard time combining it with any of the other patterns in that stack.

Happiness_re

Than i ran into problems how to color the very cute “Prom Tilda
in. This card was supposed to be a quick one but omg.. i colored first Tilda with Violin in, than “Prom Tilda” 2x until i was happy with her green dress. Still… it did not look “right” so i added that cut out shape with one of the Nestabilities and i was DONE with the layout. The rest was fast. But boy.. that was a bad card making day for me :-)

Since i know i will not use the second scalloped paper anymore i have added it to the inside of the card and cut an other shape with fleur de lis Nestabilities out from white paper, to add the note to the recipient.

Happiness_1_re Recipe:
Stamps all by Magnolia!

Prom Tilda” the sentiment with this wonderful font is from last years Fortune Collection
Other: Crown silver charm, glitter chipboard swirls, gemstone swirls by Prima Marketing, flowers and leaves by Magnolia, Sweden as well.

Have a great day today!
Hugs

Forever – Home Decoration Idea

Hello and a very good day to you.

Today i would like to show you one of my projects i have created for Magnolia ink 2. For this issue i created quite a few 3D projects. You might remember the Valentines box, the Easter Gable box and next week i can show you something else… I kept it because the theme fit better to the time of the year and the challenge on Cute Card Thursday.

 forever

My basic idea was to show how cute Magnolia stamps are to make things other than cards. This acetate page could first be hung in a living area – baby or for a Wedding and than later easily be converted into a scrapbook page to keep it save.

Most of the things on this page are handmade. First i cut the scalloped shape with a big Accu Cut die out in my local Scrapbook store. Then i inked the edges with white Stazon. I have applied rub-on’s to the upper left and lower right corners. My rub'-ons were not perfect anymore but by not adding them entirely to the page they look like it was meant to be that way.

forever_1

I sprayed all the papers including doily and flowers with glimmer mist to add sparkle. The floral white embellishment where Tilda “Flower Girl is sitting on is altered with Shimmerz and Stickles. The black sparkly circle is handmade as well. I cut with my Nestabilities the shape out of cardboard, covered it in glue and sprinkled it than with black Martha Stewart glitter – let dry. (The photo i used is a fake one from the store that has been used in the picture frame)

Additional stamps from Magnolia " Angle Love” were stamped with black Stazon and some gem stickers from Prima with pearls to embellish further have been used.

Stamps: this cute Tilda “flower girl” is from the Wedding Collection soon to be released though Magnolia

Nosy Bunny – Hoppy Easter Collection

Sorry, could not hold it :-) i had to show you today a picture of Maus – i took it yesterday morning while watching some TV. He got really big – almost 12 pounds! Back to cards ….

Maus_March_re My very talented friend Jacque created for this week a really great sketch for us to follow on the Friday Sketcher blog, if you can go check it out you can twist it in many ways and get really creative with this one.

I had my card already done for Magnolia, Sweden when i realized.. hmmm.. that could work for the sketch this week.

Well… as you know, the DT gets some supplies from Magnolia provided to make sample cards, which we have to sent back to Sweden. In my package was 1 sheet that i could not combine with any of my other colors of papers i had. So i cut that cute  aqua bunny paper and yeiks.. i made a mistake.. alright no problem.. cut again and i managed to cut cooked. How bad can my luck be? It’s not that i never make cards, right?!

Gatefold_Bunny_re

Sooo… think, think what can i do to fix it? Check it out.. i made a 5.5 x 5.5 gatefold card out of it. Actually i believe it works really nicely with the bunny from behind :-) he looks like he is peeking inside the card, where i have stamped the Magnolia tree with sentiment from last years Easter Collection.

Gatefold_Bunny_inside

Be sure to check out all the samples for inspiration posted by the Design team, hopefully you will play along and post your own creation on the Friday Sketcher blog where we have "La-La Land” sponsoring a sweet prize this week! The very sweet and gorgeous Irina is sponsoring us this week!

BTW.. that cute die i used on my card is by Nellie Snellen and all shapes can be found at Cute Stamps and Cards.

Thank you all

Mama said there’d be days like this…

Hello ladies… thank you for coming to see my card for today.

Well.. i have made this one already a while back with one of the stamped images my friend Crissy kindly gave to me. I know you have seen this Tilda many times already :-) i think she is definitely a cutie!

I like the paper from the Basic Grey Porcelain line but unfortunately i feel not many other colors really work with that line – so i feel iam really limited to pick up the colors that the paper gives me and some of the neutrals.

Hatching Chicken “Hoppy Easter” DT card

Hello ladies.. i hope you have had a wonderful weekend. Wow.. i loved the nice and warm Spring temperatures we have had.

Today i can show you an other DT card i made with the supplies Magnolia, Sweden sent in my package. Unfortunately most of the subtle things like Glimmer mist and stickles on shoes, dress and egg do not show on my pictures.

Happy Easter_close_re

The floral Design paper was a piece i have received with the Raising the Ceiling Collection DT kit.. i can not tell you what the maker is or the line – so you could look it up. I'm sorry! To add a bit more texture besides the flowers and hardware i embossed a piece of Stampin up (River Rock – retired) piece of cardstock with a Stampin up embossing folder (it is retired as well). The circular Sentiment is by Magnolia and is from last years Easter collection.

Hoppy Easter “Hello! Tilda”

Good morning everyone. Thank you for your visit today.

I love to show you a card made with one of the cute new Magnolia stamps from the Hoppy Easter Collection 2010.

Well the photos have not turned out very well ... but of course i wanted to show my card today.
The image is stamped onto watercolor paper and i colored her in with Stampin up refillers and Tim Holtz distress inks. The papers are by Stampin up – the pattern paper is unfortunately retired. I really love that one. I could not resist and went with the current trend to frame my image with lots and lots of flowers.

But than i saw this stamp set in the Stampin up catalogue (C is for Cat – it is currently free with a $50 order) and i knew i wanted to make a sympathy card with my Tilda holding kitten (Pet Collection 2009).
