Wishing A Merry Christmas

Hello ladies, are you also still busy with Christmas cards? Every year i think.. next year i will start much sooner but i always fail :-)
Well.. as you can see my card for today is entirely made with Magnolia supplies. One thing i like to say is that i wanted so badly the this new Christmas Background stamp and every time i wanted to order it was sold out. When i looked though the delish Magnolia papers which i got at Magnolia-licous i have noticed the sheet with text in a wonderful fond and i thought that will do the trick for now.
A little tag was sponged and aged to add an additional Christmas message for my recipient. On Tilda's shoes and twig is sparkle added with some Glitter pens.
Stamps: Magnolia Tilda with Mistletoe, Merry Christmas sentiment (So Jolly Collection)
Magnolia Design papers are all available though Magnolia-lious
Embellishments: Snowflake hardware can be found at WOJ store in the charm section
All those very cute Magnolia stamps you see in my artwork can be purchased in Sweden - link is in blog roll!
Thank you for visiting me today i appreciate your time.

Santa's Helper

Hello ladies.. today is "Nikolaus" day in Germany and i would love to show you my little card that i have made for this holiday. If you have had no chance to visit yesterday, you might want to click on yesterdays posting.. the is a little candy for somebody of you, to celebrate this holiday.
The card is pretty straight forward. I have used Santa Edwin from this years Christmas Collection and the sack he is sitting on is from last years collection. The sentiment is by Amuse Artstamps. Check out the lovely papers :-) got them though Magnolia-lioucs and of course since they are made by Magnolia.. they just simply match and it so much less to worry about. Oh, on Santa's hat i have used a mix of Liquid Applique and in between the gaps i squeezed Star Dust Stickles. Unfortunately it is hard to tell on the pictures but on all the white parts of his coat i have used Sakura pens. The puff a little bit and it really does look super cute. Since this is a boy-ish card i wanted to be careful with any flowers or frilly stuff, but i could not resist to dress the red circle layer with some Candy Cane Red Stickles.

Other supplies mentioned than above:
the wide jute was given to me by my wonderful friend Carole.
Taffetta ribbon and Kraft Card stock is by Stampin up
i have used a circle punch to round the left side of my sentiment
to age all my layers i used Tim Holtz Distressing tool and Distress Inkpads
Around the sack i airbrushed a bit with E50 copic Sketch
Hero Arts Pearl Stickers
Tombow Mono glue
White Gel pen
Pop up dots to raise Edwin off the sack
Brads

All those very cute Magnolia stamps you see in my artwork can be purchased in Sweden - link is in blog roll!

Silent Night Tilda

Hello and welcome. I must say, iam disappointed how this card shows on the pictures. You know how this is? You have made a card, you really like and than you just can not get it right on the photos. Tildas (Silent Night - So Snowy Collection) cute face just looks so pale on the pictures. I don't know.. i think i must consider getting a different daylight lamp. Right now i take my pictures in the porch and since the daylight is getting shorter and shorter, it seams i can not get it right.
I love those pretty K&Company papers from last year :-) i have been hoarding every tiny little scrap i produce when making a card with them. I like especially the bottom paper with the big white roses. So pretty. I was able to cut it so it would show here and there some sparkle. On the brown paper I used lots of Shimmerz Spritz. On the Ponsiettas is Stickles in Golden Rod and on the swirls Star Dust Stickles.
The vintage flower embellishment (Melissa Frances) is aged with Distress inks and some Shimmerz in Antique . To deepen certain shadows on her coat and on her head band i have used on this time some Prisma Color pencils.

Sweet Holiday Wishes

Hi, Wednesday's is usually the day when i show some cards made with Magnolia stamps from an older line. My friends and myself had emails asking if there would be a blog were everybody could show the own card rather, than linking it underneath on one of our blogs. We have decided to start the "Old Magnolia Challenge blog" This is a very casual blog. We will not have any prizes organized. We just want to offer a "meeting point" for those of you who also love the old images and want to show the cards made with those cuties.
For the challenge today i have chosen "Tilda with candy cane" from the 2008 Christmas Collection, i wanted to participate for so long on the "Christmas All Year Long" challenge blog. Besides coloring Tilda with Copic Markers i used Shimmerz paints in Celery Green (shadows on dress) and Pixie Dust on her apron. On the candy cane i used something i got the other day from 7kids.. its called SMOOH paint (Pearlized Accent Ink) pretty neat stuff. It almost looks like a nail polish the bottle has a super fine brush and i was able to get with that shimmery paint into all the little corners without trouble. On Tilda's wings and on the withe ares of the candy cane i have used Stickles.
Papers/CS: Heidi Grace (bought at Joanns) and Stampin upEmbellishments: Stickles Glitter Glue, Smooch paint in red, Shimmerz: Celery and Pixie Dust, Robins Nest in green, Stampin up: ribbon

Thank you dear Shirely for forwarding me this award!

i love your blog!

Vintage Love

Hello a good start into the weekend. Today i have lots of pictures. The card was made for "Stamp with Fun" Challenge blog. The theme is to make a "vintage" card. I used for my card a Tilda which can be found in the Christmas 2008 Collection and combined her with a stamp from the "Love" 2009 Collection. The tag behind the focal point image can be pulled out and be used for a personal note to the recipient.
All layers of the card are heavily distressed. Here is a close up shot from the inside of the card. I used Shimmerz new product Spritz in "Baby Breath" It does look soooo pretty! If you like you can go over to the blog and put your entry in to win some of the new Shimmerz Spritz colors!

okay.. you probably think iam going nuts now to decorate also the back of my cards ? noooope..and i don't think i will start it :-) I have made this tag with all the sewing to add to the inside of the card but it just did not look "RIGHT" so i used an other tag and this one i just did not want to throw in the trash.
little splatters is from a retiered stamps set by Stampin up called itty bitty backgrounds
Papers: K&Company "Madeline" 8.5 x 8.5 found at Michaels
I also would like to tell you from a brand new Challenge blog called: The Next Level! iam so excited about this blog and can not wait to see what is going to be going on there!!!

My dear wonderful friend

Edit to add: This card is sold to Isabelle T. - Thank you so much!!!
Hello and happy Wednesday :-) Are you up for a new challenge to use one of your "older" Tilda stamps :-) this week it was my turn and i have picked this cutie :-) i bought her but she never saw ink and i can not even remember in which Collection she can be found, sorry :-). I think she is so darling. I can envision her on a farm themed card :-) as well. For my card today, i wanted to use some of my things that were kind of in my way.. that scroll embellishment from K&Company almost came off the plastic it came with and it soon would have been not usable anymore, by picking some of my items out of my basket, i also came across this little paper bag that i used with a tag that came with it. Here is a close up picture from Tilda - for those who want to see the coloring a bit better

Stamps: Magnolia "Tilda", Sentiment: Stampin up
Paper/CS: My Minds Eye "Penny Lane ", Baja Breeze, Pretty in Pink, Neenah CS for Coloring and cardbase
Embellishments: K&Company, Hero Arts Pearl Stickers, pink Taffeta ribbon, Prima Marketing, Paper bag, Making Memories button, Nestabilities, Stickles, Retro flower punch
Coloring: Copic Sketch

Please take a look at Carole's blog and Jaqueline's site because they also joined the challenge and made a card using this Tilda image for you. If you like to join in our challenge each week.. feel free to use Carole's, Jaqueline's, Bea's or my blog to link your creation.

Wishes

Hello and happy Sunday :-) gosh it feels really akward to show you card with Winter images :-) This is one of the cards i have submitted to a magazine but i has not been taken. The "problem" here was that i have used Stampin up paper, and in the country i have submitted this card to - Stampin up is not available. I really did like this card and hopefully i will get it returned. I have submitted to a magazine in the US in August 2008 (Just Cards) 2 Flaterates full of cards with return envelope and to gotten back so far. It is sad, because of all the money you put into the cards and i think well.. they would have been nice to sent to friends. I still hope that they have a chance to make it into a issue.

A handful of love and another of kisses...

Good morning... it is time that my husband and i go back to our routine.. since he is home during the holidays i go to bed each night later and later and i need my beauty sleep lol. Puh... this card was made i think end of November but than i got the new Magnolia stamps and STAMPAVIE goodies and i totally forgot to show this card. But now it is really time.. i have already cleaned up my winter paper and pulled my Spring colors out. I do this paper from My Minds eye is very pretty and will also work for Valentines.
I usually keep the ribbon ends longer until the card is ready to be mailed because everytime i untie bow and have to bind it again it will never turn out the same anymore.
Well.. and here you see two pictures of the inside of the card. Iam not happy the way the picture turned out. It is all about the time of the day i take my pictures. I love this sentiment i bought especially to use with my Magnolia stamps. It says

"A handful of love an other of kisses
an angel sent on a snowflake
to deliver winter wishes"

Paper/CS: Purely Promegranate (retiered SU color 2007), So Saffron, Whisper White, My Minds Eye (I think Laundry Line)
Embellishments: Stampin up Purely Promegranate Satin Ribbon, Swarovski Chrystal, Lace and hemp gift from my dear friend Carole i think it is 7 Gypsies, SU Dazzeling Diamond Dust as snow and buttons Making Memories

Santa Gift Set

Hi there.. oh my gosh.. it took me just right now 30 minutes to edit those 3 pictures. We got a new printer on Thanksgiving Sale and since than my computer is running slow and i get constantly error messages. Aaaahhh.. where is my hubby ????? :-)
Gotta fix that :-)
This is the gift set i have made for my dear friend Christina C. Christina and i met on a yahoo group about half year back and we chatted a bit and we found out that we both come from the same small area.. just about 15 km apart. It was so funny.. than later we have met again at the Magnolia-lioucs yahoo group and i can tell you - Christina is one sweet and kind lady and iam happy i have met her. So the can is filled with some presents to open for her and Miska :-) (nooo i don't forget your baby Christina :-) and a matching card. I love the big Magnolia Santa image because it really covers a good amount of space on card or even projects. I love love one of the paper bags one of the Magnolia Designers made. You can see that one on the Inspiration site.. unfortunately i could not find out who that actually made. It is gorgeous!
The can does not show too well with white background but this way the ornamental stickers (Stampendous) show better on the picture. Love those.. but they were really difficult to get down. I don' t know if i would do that again.
and here the group shot.

Shabby Chic

Iam late, iam late :-)
My card for today was made using a sketch that i made. I wanted to go fairly simple because we all have lots to do at this time of the year AND since this Holiday stamp release had so many sitting Magnolias i thought it would be giving you plenty of choices to pick your favorite Magnolia. On my sample card i wanted to show how versatile the stamps are. By choosing dark colored Designer papers and lots and lots of distressing and coloring Tildas dress green i think this card would also be nice for someone who is not sooo into the very cute style. Many of the Christmas images work all year round.
now for the supplies: Tilda Christmas Collection 2008
Papers: i believe it is Basic Grey (?) and Stampin up Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip
Embellishments: Stampin up rope, Laundry Line tag, Velvet ribbon (forgot), Making Memories, Prima Marketing

Merry Christmas

This card is sold to Christina C. Ich danke dir liebe Christina! xx

Hi, how was your weekend???
We worked around the house and i went to Ikea shopping. I saw over on Rachs blog some storage containers that she used for her copics and i got the same :-) Thanks Rach for sharing your pics of your craft space!
I really like how this card turned out. I love that red paper the most of this Basic Grey paper. This was the first card i have made with one ribbon that you will get in the new Raspberry Ribbon kit. I picked the organdy so the red paper will still be visible. Now.. i don't know if it shows on the picture.. the swing is done with gold thread and every stitch is done twice so it really stands out a lot.

12 Days of Christmas

This card was made for my BIG idol Inge from the Netherlands... some of you know that Inge is one of the very first original Magnolia Design Team Members. Oh my gosh.. i was always drooling over her creations .. her coloring i and her style how to layer patterned paper is something i have studied for many hours. So when Inge asked me if I would be up for a Christmas gift exchange (in German "wichteln") i was like .. oh my gosh.. no question :-) but than the pressure was on lol.. . All the papers are super sparkly.. the flowers are with glitter made since the sketch asked for some horizontal elements i picked 2 strings of my Raspberry Ribbons August Paisley kit. All the greens you will get in this kit are perfect to use this time of the year. The sticker (Making Memories) "12 days of Christmas" reminded me kind of like a sign in a train station, so added that one behind Tilda . I think the packages Tilda is sitting on work well with the thought i had.
I submitted this card for this weeks Cute Card Thursday Challenge - we have to make something using greens and reds. Now for the sketch.. i need to give credit for that one to Jay Jay.. i saw it on her blog and printed it out.. it was too late to use this card on the challenge blog because i did not want to show the card before Inge received her present.

taataaa... and this time i even made a note what Copics i used to color my images Tilda and packages in :-)
Face: E000, E00, R20
other: E31, E34, E27, E50, Y23, R27, R14, G99, 0, YG93, Y21, E25, YG95, W5, W3
Background/Airbrush: E50, Y23, E11
Now the best for last lol....
have you seen the new Magnolia Winter kit already :-) teasing you ...
i have seen it.. :-)

Holiday

Hi how was your weekend? Ours was kind of "sleepless" :-) the boys catched a virus in school and i was busy cleaning beds, cleaning the car :-) and giving showers at night time. poor kids - i can definitely tell that iam 40 and need my beauty sleep lol.
Now some of you might have already the new Raspberry ribbon kit.. if not you might really consider getting this kit. It is so beautiful it has lots of strings in off white and pure whites in it and also 2 of those plastic snowflakes. At first i did not really know what to do with my "second" snowflake (i forgot to show you my first card.. :-) so i added to the edges Stickles so it would stand out against the bight red color.

have a cozy Christmas

Today i would love to show you a card that i custom made for Jodi. Please swing over to her blog.. and check it out. She makes herself the cutest cards and is also a Stampin up Demonstrator!!!! I really had to ask her if she is serious that i should make her cards lol :-) Thank you so much Jodi!!!
Jodi wanted me to make two cards one for herself.. a summery scene card - which you can see on my second blog. I used a Alota stamp and a girl with a bike to create the scene. For the second card Jodi asked for a Christmas card for her nice and to use her favorite stamp Tilda giggling. I suggested to use the fireplace with her to create the cozy feeling for Christmas. I thought the bright colors from the SU paper are beautiful for a young girls card.

on the envelope i used the big Christmas box stamp.
Inside of the card i stamped Magnolia pile of presents and the sentiment is by Amuse Art stamps
Coloring: Copic Sketch
Supplies as ribbon and Paper: all Stampin up
other: Making Memories and Prima Marketing

Altered Purse for Magnolia

okay.. can you believe it :-) This project was accepted to be published in a magazine and totally forgot to sent the data sheet to the requested time in. Gosh..after the hospital the kids got sick and after that me.. (as usual) Iam really upset with myself!!

Removed for publishing
This purse was sent to me with the Christmas stamps from Magnolia. At first i tried to cover the bag with Designer paper but all the metal hinges made the job impossible. I would have not looked good. So i went to the craft store looking for stenciling or spray paint. NOTHING.. i got some Distress Ink in the hope that i could cover the white papmache with that and add than some rub-ons on. That did not work either. You don't want to know how the bag looked at that point. I was frustrated. My last chance was than the STAZON Timber Brown ink pad :-) (since i did not want to create such a super even surface that a spray paint would create). I rubbed the ink right with the ink pad to the bag and worked with kitchen towel to create the "texture". After that the job was a breeze.

Removed for publishing

All DP's you see on that project are tiny scraps i kept from Magnolia. Even the tag is from Sweden. All what i did is some sponging and adding rub-ons plus the 3-D Elements i found those at Michaels in the K& Company Section. I marked the spots where the brads would go with my SU piercing template so they are evenly spaced. This purse is already in Sweden and can be seen in the Magnolia store in Boras.

Christmas

So :-) aaaaallll done :-) my DT work is sent to Magnolia and i must say while i was working with this new line i totally fell in love with them. I can not wait to see how the entire collection will look like. I defenetly need the big ornament to sit Tilda on and and and :-)
Here is a group shot of some of the cards i crated for Magnolia using most of the supplies i recieved in my DT package. Additional supplies are from K&Company, Stampin up, Making Memories, and other. Coloring on all cards is done with Stampin up re-inkers.

Before i forget.. under the smaller card, you see a decorated envelope. It is a hudge gift box stamp - also available in the new collection
