Vintage Wooden Lace Box

Hello welcome to my blog. Well, i was so excited to show this box that i have started a while back. I forgot to take pictures of the box the same day as the card and look what a difference :-(
Note to myself: Sets need to be photographed at the same day!
The wooden box was purchased at Michales. Before i started i took all the hardware off, than i painted all those areas i knew it would be kind of tricky to cover with paper, with Tim Holtz Tattered Rose Crackle paint. The Designer paper is sponged and than adhered with Modge Podge to the box. All edges have been carefully sanded down after the glue has dried to make it nice and even.
Same lace and embellishments to decorate the box as on the card. Now i think it becomes clearer why i went with that pinkish paper and this Tilda. I think this way the box can be "seen" all year round and Tilda.. well just because she is cute and she fits in a circle shape :-)

My box is filled with some goodies for a friend for Christmas. It has the perfect size to add Shimmerz, Stickles, Laces, charms and flowers! BTW the box was a steal for only 5 dollars :-)
Now i would like to sent you over to take a look at my dear friend Inge's blog who has made a project with my challenge for her "Decorate A Gift". I can not wait to see what she came up with, when i wake up tomorrow morning :-) Thank you Inge!

All those very cute Magnolia stamps you see in my artwork can be purchased in Sweden - link is in blog roll!

Thank you for visiting me today i appreciate your time.
